Dwelling Design · Wenatchee, WA
A residential interior design studio in Wenatchee, WA, designing new builds, remodels and full-home furnishing for homeowners across North Central Washington and the Greater Pacific Northwest.
Dwelling Design, formerly Victoria Lane Design
Every project starts with how you live rather than how a room should look. Where the light lands in the morning. Who ends up in the kitchen. What you want the house to feel like at the end of a long day.
From there we layer in the decisions that make a home hold together: layout and flow, finishes and materials, lighting, furniture, and the styling that finally makes a house feel complete. The result is refined and genuinely livable, and unmistakably yours rather than a set of defaults chosen under deadline.

Meet Laney
Laney Nelson is the founder and lead designer of Dwelling Design, formerly Victoria Lane Design. Her work is rooted in creating interiors that go beyond aesthetics: spaces designed to support the way you live, foster connection with those you love most, and offer a retreat from the busyness of everyday life.
Because a true dwelling is a place you find rest, experience joy-filled moments, and fully live into what you were created for.

How we work
However we work together, the journey follows the same steady rhythm from first idea to final detail.
We begin with a conversation about how you live, what you love, your timeline, and the feeling you want your home to have.
We shape layout, space planning and overall direction, coordinating with your builder or contractor when there is one.
Finish selections, material direction, lighting coordination, furniture planning and styling come together as one palette.
Every layer is considered and installed, so you settle into a home that is refined, functional and unmistakably yours.

Where we work
The studio is based in Wenatchee, and we design with this region in mind: the bright high-desert light, the long valley views, and the way a Pacific Northwest household actually uses a house through four very different seasons.
From riverfront neighbourhoods to hillside lots, lake homes and mountain cabins, we bring a local sensibility to every project we take on.

From the journal
Honest, useful writing for homeowners planning a build, a renovation, or a house that finally feels finished.

New Construction
Most regrets in a finished home trace back to a decision made three weeks too late. Here is the order to make them in, counted backward from move-in day.

Furnishing and Styling
The furniture arrived, every room is full, and something still reads as unfinished. Here is what usually separates a furnished room from one that is genuinely done.

Lake Chelan Homes
A lake house gets used hard for ten weeks and sits quiet for the rest. Here is what that means for fabric, the water door, guest capacity and the floor underfoot.
